Lucille Dooley, 80, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 3, 2018.
She was born January 19, 1938 to Leonard and Virgi (Young) Swango in Madison, and was an only child.
She married James Dooley on April 23, 1955 and together they had four kids.
She was an avid Elvis fan and she enjoyed bird watching and loved to cook — but above all, her family was the most important thing to her.
She is survived by her three daughters, Dorothy Shafer, Karen (Jeff) Buckner and Nikki (Bill) Owens; 10 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and her loving dog, Romeo.
She was preceded in death by her husband on December 22, 2011; her parents; and her son, Ronald Lee Dooley.
A funeral service for Lucille will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 4 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home with additional visitation on Wednesday from 1 p.m. to service time.
Memorial donations in Lucille’s name may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
Myers-Reed Chapel is serving the Dooley Family.
