Orchids to …

• President Trump, the best president the United States of America has had in many years, who speaks the truth.
• Rudy Giuliani for supporting a woman’s right to choose an abortion.

Onions to …
• those who use Orchids and Onions to… argue politics and, therefore, drive a wedge between Americans — whatever happened to civility in political discourse?
• the letter writer for his view in Wednesday’s publication, because he clearly has no clue about science or that God gave us animals for meat.
• the letter writer who thinks the press is not held accountable for fabricating stories, and then names journalists who lost their positions for running false stories.
• people who vote on party, not issues.
• the letter writer who pointed out the lies told by mainstream media, resulting in severe consequences for the individuals responsible, while our president lies and fabricates on a daily basis unchecked and with no consequences.
• the elementary school for student drop-off and pickup traffic that blocks lanes in both directions, with non-school cars sitting needlessly waiting to safely pass.
• the biased mind-reading news anchor who stated that President Trump was “using his power to take revenge” when he lawfully revoked an individual’s security clearance.
• the school district that worries more about public perception than transparency with school safety as demonstrated by the lack of information provided to the public about a threat made at one of the high schools prior to school starting last week.
• those who forget that journalists get fired for lying.
• people at the local high school for the bully who makes fun of me for not having a dad because he died when I was 5.
• some of the kids in the local high school for their bad memes.
• the person who stole my iPhone charger.
• those who express concerns about animal neglect or abuse in the Onions column but fail to report this to the authorities.
• city officials for not being concerned about East Ridge Manor and Sloan Branch, which is full of mosquitoes and needs to be cleaned out.
• the person who forgot that Dan Quayle prompted the boy to add an “e” to potato because of the flashcard he was given by the teacher, not because he didn’t know how to spell the word.
• anyone who thinks it’s OK to knowingly commit fraud when signing an employment contract.
