HOPE — Hope police officers and volunteer firefighters will work to notify Hope residents about any tornado warnings for the time being after the town’s tornado siren was hit by lightning and is not working.
A recent test showed the siren was not working and repair crews estimated the cost to repair it is about $16,000. Town officials are working with the town’s insurer to recoup the cost.
