The Jennings County Historical Society will open the North American House museum, across from the county courthouse at 134 Brown St. in Vernon, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for special displays and a silent auction that supports museum activities. The silent auction ends 4 p.m. Oct. 3.
