A movie that offered a modern take on the city’s Modernist architecture returns locally to the big screen Friday.
“Columbus,” the film that sold a record 8,953 tickets in a six-week run in September and October of last year at YES Cinema, will begin a one-week run at the downtown theater at 6:30 p.m. Friday through Sept. 6.
The director, who goes by the name Kogonada, returned to Columbus last year to create bonus material for the flick, which originally was released at one hour and 44 minutes.
The updated release has 15 minutes of previously deleted scenes and footage of construction of local buildings and the J. Irwin Miller family — all tacked on after the credits.
