The film “Columbus,” which sold a record 8,953 tickets during its six-week local opening last fall at YES Cinema, 328 Jackson St., begins a one-week run at the downtown theater at 6:30 p.m. today through Sept. 6.
The updated release has 15 minutes of previously deleted scenes and footage of the construction of architecturally significant local buildings in Columbus tacked on after the credits.
The film’s return will be celebrated at 5 p.m. today with a premiere party at The Inn at Irwin Gardens on Fifth Street for advance ticket buyers for any showtime. The bed-and-breakfast is where the cast and crew stayed during their three-week shoot in the summer of 2016, and was a location for some scenes in the movie. Show your movie ticket for admission to the party.
Tours of the inn, the staff’s behind-the-scenes cast-and-crew anecdotes and a cash bar will be part of the event.
