EDINBURGH
Gerald Eugene Coy, 83, of Edinburgh, passed to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, In-Patient Facility in Columbus.
He was born September 8, 1935 in Bartholomew County. He was the son of Norman and Dorothy A. (Wycoff) Coy. He married Judy (Burton) Coy.
He is survived by his wife, sons, Brad (Angela) Coy of Franklin, Indiana and Ryan (Kim) Coy of Columbus, Indiana, three grandchildren who were the love of his life, Nicholas Coy of Franklin, Indiana, Kennedy Coy and Parker Jayne Coy of Columbus, Indiana, sister, Connie Coy of Edinburgh, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Harold Coy, and sisters, Norma June Burton and Marilyn Ramey.
He was in the US Army where he served two active and four inactive years. He attended Calvary Christian Church. He retired from Sonoco Flexible Packaging Company after 25 years of service.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018 by Reverend Richard Yeaton at Calvary Christian Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be on Sunday from 2 until 6 p.m. at the church and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Monday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana.
