A local man wanted on a Bartholomew County warrant was arrested Monday after leading Columbus police on a foot chase.
Officers saw Steven J. Richcreek, 27, Columbus, at 8:35 p.m. Monday walking
in the 800 block of Wilson Street, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
The officers confirmed a warrant for Richcreek’s arrest and attempted to
speak with him. Richcreek fled on foot and was apprehended a short time later in the area of Ninth and California streets.
Richcreek was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement and the warrant.
