Edinburgh men arrested on multiple drug-related charges after traffic stop

Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies arrested two Edinburgh men on multiple drug-related charges after a traffic stop in the area of County Roads 50W and 650N.

Deputy Leah Burton was in the area at 2:30 a.m. Thursday when she observed a vehicle traveling south on County Road 50W that crossed the center line multiple times.

Burton stopped the vehicle, where she observed drug paraphernalia in plain view, deputies said. She also located cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, other controlled substances and additional paraphernalia inside the car, deputies said.

The driver, identified as Damian Brown, 23, Edinburgh, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, deputies said.

He has since been released from the Bartholomew County Jail, jail officials said.

Also arrested was Lawrence Turnbloom, 23, Edinburgh, on preliminary charges of possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance, deputies said.

He was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond, jail officials said.
