Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies arrested a Seymour man for carrying a handgun without a license after a traffic stop near the 5500 block of south County Road 250E.
Sgt. Kris Weisner stopped a vehicle driven by Omar F. Bautista, 23, Seymour, at 3:51 a.m. Tuesday, deputies said.
Weisner saw an unholstered, loaded handgun on the driver’s side floorboard of the vehicle, deputies said.
Bautista was arrested on a preliminary charge of carrying a handgun without a license, deputies said. He has since been released from the Bartholomew County Jail.
Two passengers in the vehicle were released after the traffic stop.
