Bonnie Jean Davidson, 98, of Seymour and formerly of Columbus, died at 10:30 p.m. October 22, 2018, at the Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.

Bonnie was born March 13, 1920, in Jackson County, the daughter of Clayton H. and Gledis Wray Sutton.

She married Earl G. Davidson in Louisville on May 16, 1939, and he preceded her in death August 16, 1995.

She graduated from Clearspring High School and later from nursing school as an LPN.

Bonnie had worked for Dr. Shields, Dr. Bosch, Schneck Hospital and Hoosier Christian Village.

She was a member of Garden City Church of Christ.

Bonnie enjoyed fishing, and in her younger days, boating and skiing. She volunteered with the American Red Cross, completed mission work and taught Sunday school classes.

She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren play sports.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Calling will be 1 p.m. until time of service Sunday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Lutheran Community Home or the American Red Cross.

Survivors include her sons, Glen (Sharon) Davidson of Seymour and Don Davidson of Columbus; a sister, Velta Ban of Danville; grandchildren, Greg (Michelle) Davidson, Jon (Tracey) Davidson, Michael (Amy) Davidson, Angie West, Leslie (Jason) Young and Joel (Kim) Davidson; and great-grandchildren, Cassie, Kirsten Lynn, Kirsten Marie, Christopher and Alex Davidson and Bailey, Jobey and Brady West.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; sisters, Ruth Cummings and Mary Sutton; a grandchild, Katie Davidson; and a great-grandchild, Chloe Davidson.
