EDINBURGH
Harold Lee Cox, Sr., 68, of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at his residence.
He was born on May 4, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of Jerry Cox and Elizabeth (Miller) Sallee.
He married Linda Kay (Sallee) Cox on July 16, 1968 and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Edinburgh, Indiana, sons, Harold Lee Cox, Jr. of Edinburgh, Indiana and Brian Keith (Melissa) Cox of Jacksonville, Florida, grandchildren, Elizabeth (Marcus) Steiner, Brian Keith Cox, II, Brianna Cox, Emilee Cox, and Lavon Cox, step-grandchildren, Seth, Faith, and Sierra, great-granddaughter, Georgia Steiner, brother, Carl (Mary) Cox of Columbus, Indiana, and sisters, Sarah Poole of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Ruth Elliott of Columbus, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, David, Garnet, Everett, Johnny, and Willard Cox.
Harold retired in 2016 from PMG in Columbus where he was a machine operator. He attended Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, and camping. Harold was loved by all of his nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. by Reverend Lewis Burton on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Monday at the church and from 10 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
