COLUMBUS
Laura D. Haiderer, 60, of Columbus, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at her home.
Laura spent her early years living in Missouri until moving to Bridgeport, Michigan where she lived with her father and step-mother Zita Harrington.
She had a wonderful childhood, growing up with two brothers.
She attended Bridgeport High School and Delta College while working as a dental assistant and on the weekends worked at Frankenmuth Bavarian Restaurant.
She loved being a mother, attending all the school programs and field trips with her daughter.
Laura was a friend to all she met and enjoyed helping people who were in need. She was a wonderful listener and could offer the best advice.
She loved to bake and cook as well as host annual hog roasts with friends and family for three-day weekends. Her cookies and pies were well known among friends and family.
She loved her pets fiercely and was an avid animal lover throughout her life.
Mrs. Haiderer was co-owner of Haiderer Homes and was a big reason for the success of the business. She answered the phones and could brighten anyone’s day instantly.
Laura enjoyed membership at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Haiderer was born April 2, 1958 in Flint, Michigan.
She married, David E. Haiderer on April 6, 1991 in Saginaw, Michigan.
A memorial service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark Teike officiating.
Family and friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to time of service at the church.
In keeping with Laura’s wishes, cremation is planned.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years; daughter, Ashley (Amos) Haiderer Baugher of Columbus; stepson, Eric Haiderer of North Carolina; a brother, Tom (Cathi) Fisher of Palatine, Illinois; and her two dogs and two cats.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard A. Harrington; stepmother, Zita Harrington; and a brother, James Fisher.
Laura had a tremendous faith, knew the Lord, and lived her life with Christian values.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
