Columbus police arrested a local woman after she was accused of threatening another person with a knife during a dispute.
Officers were sent to a home on North Beatty Street about a disturbance at 3:50 p.m. Friday, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
When officers attempted to detain the woman, identified as Kristi N. Cross, 30, of 31 N. Beatty St., she attempted to pull away from them, Harris said. A struggle ensued and Cross was arrested, he said.
During the struggle, Cross threatened the officers who were arresting her, Harris said. Officers later located drug paraphernalia as well as a knife inside a bag that belonged to Cross, Harris said.
She was arrested on multiple charges, including intimidation with a deadly weapon, intimidation of a law enforcement officer, resisting law enforcement and possession of drug paraphernalia, Harris said.
Cross was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $180,000 bond, jail officials said.
