An investigation is continuing into the death of a Columbus woman, who was found in her home by Columbus police.
Police had issued a notice Sunday afternoon saying they were attempting to locate Trillby Hatton, 35, who lived on Lafayette Avenue in Columbus, as her family had reported they had not seen her since Nov. 6.
When Columbus Police officers went to the woman’s home just after 5 p.m. Sunday, they found her and notified the Bartholomew County Coroner’s office. Hatton was found within just a couple hours of the missing person’s report being placed on social media.
Coroner Clayton Nolting said there is nothing to indicate anything suspicious about the death, and the coroner’s office is awaiting toxicology results as part of the investigation. Nolting said foul play is not suspected in the death.
