DUGGER — Columbus Christian opened Southern Roads Conference Tournament play Friday with a 49-45 win at Dugger Union.
Conner Emily led the Crusaders (3-1) with 23 points. Josh Jones added 13.
Columbus Christian was to play again late Friday night against Evansville Christian. The placement-round games are today.
Panthers fall to Cubs
MADISON — Jennings County fell behind by 10 points at halftime and Madison held on for a 54-46 Hoosier Hills Conference win.
Aaron Martin led the Panthers (0-2, 0-1) with 18 points and had nine rebounds. Josh Pettit added 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Weston Miller had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Raiders top Trinity
SEYMOUR — South Ripley hit a 3-pointer with 5.3 seconds remaining to pull out a 53-50 win at Trinity Lutheran.
AJ Goecker led the Cougars (1-3) with 13 points. Mitchell Hackman added 12.
