COLUMBUS, Ind. — Festival of Lights Parade organizers said as of this morning the event is still on for this evening despite steady rain, although they are monitoring the weather for any changes that could necessitate its cancellation.
They also are reminding attendees that there is no parking on Washington Street after 5 p.m. Signs posted indicating that restriction have been washed away by the rain, said parade committee member Joyce Lucke.
The parade is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Lucke said organizers will wait as long as possible, about 5 p.m., before determining if the event has to be called off.
