Brandy Darlene McCleery, 45, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly at 9:47 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Brandy was born July 21, 1973, in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of Keith Dale Dixon and Darlene Kay Tapscott. On March 9, 1994, she married Timothy McCleery.
Brandy loved her family and tattoos. She especially enjoyed watching her husband, Tim, race go-carts. Her friends describe her as an avid horror movie watcher. Brandy also liked to listen to all kinds of music. Cooking chili was one of Brandy’s favorite things to make. Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday dinners were some of the most anticipated meals of the year, with family, that she cherished the most. Brandy truly loved her husband and children. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her husband, Timothy; father, Keith Dale Dixon; mother, Darlene (William) Tapscott, all of Columbus; daughters, Sasha (Justin McKinney) McCleery of Franklin and Paige McCleery; sons, Alan McCleery and Zach McCleery; also of Columbus; granddaughters, Piper McKinney and Savanna McKinney; sister, Amy Morrison; grandmother, Elizabeth Dixon, both of Columbus; nieces, Isabella Hoover, Summer McCleery, Heather Coy, Heather Pervis, Amy Parson; nephews, Austin Morrison, Brian McCleery, and Michael McCleery.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Claude Dixon, Fred Terry, Sr.; grandmother, Dollie Terry and one angel baby.
The funeral service will be conducted at Noon Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Charles Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
