COLUMBUS, Ind. — U.S. Rep. Greg Pence, R-Ind., was named today to the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs for the 116th Congress.

The committee is responsible for oversight and legislation relating to foreign assistance; national security developments affecting foreign policy; strategic planning and agreements; war powers, treaties, executive agreements, and the deployment and use of United States armed forces.

“The United States of America has been a global force for good for generations. I look forward to working with my colleagues to do what’s best for our nation, and of course, for Hoosiers,” said Pence, a Columbus resident and former Marine.
