C4 open house to have open house

The C4 Columbus Area Career Connection will have an open house on Wednesday at Columbus North High School.

The event is from 5 to 8 p.m. at the school, 1400 25th St., showcasing all C4 career and technical education courses available at Columbus North and Columbus East high schools, in addition to the McDowell Education Center. Attendees should enter Door 15.

Individuals may tour C4 classrooms, meet with C4 teachers and students and learn about different programs that are available. Door prizes and refreshments will be available.

If there is a two-hour delay, the open house will still take place. However, if school is canceled, the open house will be rescheduled for Feb. 6.

SAT practice test being offered

An SAT practice test is available for local high school students at Columbus North High School.

The test will be offered from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at the school, 1400 25th St. The cost is $20, which can be paid at the door.

Students are asked to register with the Sylvan Learning Center to take the exam by calling 812-372-2104. Individuals can pick up their results at 6 p.m. Feb. 20 at Columbus North.
