• Amie Hess, our Republic paper carrier who in bad weather always puts the paper at the front door, from Bob and Sue.

• those who remember that most Americans are descended from people who came from other countries.

• Debra Greene for helping Friday night, from Mom.

• a special thank you to Jim Norris for taking care of your neighbor’s driveway.

• former Columbus Mayor Kristen Brown for equipping firefighters with lifesaving water rescue equipment.

• the recent “emergency” of criminals and drugs coming across our borders when this issue has existed for decades and no administration has seriously addressed it.

• the Democrats who don’t recognize prosperity when they have it.

• the individual who has a strong personal aversion to, and continues to publicly express his remarks against, people who are working hard to improve the local environment and life in our local community.

• the president for shutting down the government only to cut a deal where everyone supposed to get paid gets paid, a speech he was supposed to give gets made, Republicans take a hit in the polls, and there is still no money for his wall.

• the woman in the black BMW at a local post office for her rude and vulgar behavior to patrons in the parking lot on Thursday.

• commentators who say Trump is worse then Hitler.

• congressional leaders who act like they are president and that the money for the wall is theirs personally.

• the person who left me without a ride in Indianapolis because they wanted to go home instead.

• the letter writer for their use of “we,” and ranting but not practicing what they preach.

• medical offices that use answering machines and are extremely slow to return calls.

• the letter writer who provided so-called facts without citing sources or providing context in regards to immigration, while demonizing those with whom they disagree.

• the federal employees complaining about the shutdown, because they get back-pay, so they lost nothing.

• the unprofessional and inept management of the medical provider’s switchboard.

• unsourced writers and speakers who do not cite, state or list their sources of information.

• those that would let second-graders sit within arm’s length of a wolf hybrid.

• the president and associates from the campaign who had contacts with Russians before the inauguration.
