The Philharmonic: Gorgeous Grieg & Brahms’ Second Symphony

7:30 p.m., Columbus North auditorium, 1400 25th St. The stunning beginning of Grieg’s concerto is one of the most memorable moments in classical music, and the entire concerto is filled with beautiful melodies. 8 a.m., Hope Town Square, State Road 9, Hope. Utopia Wildlife Rehabilitation will ask Grubby the groundhog to predict the rest of the winter. Warm drinks, snacks and a community breakfast available afterward.

American Girl Doll Day, “Over, Under and Around the Sea!”

Ages 5-10. 1 to 4 p.m., Donner Center. $22. Inclement weather date Feb. 10; registration deadline Feb. 1. Bring your doll. We’ll make matching sailor hats for you and your doll, an “ocean in a bottle,” create your own “under the sea” scrapbook page about you and your doll, make an edible ocean and more.
