Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Brownsburg man after a short pursuit near the intersection of County Road 800S and South U.S. 31.
Deputy Dylan Prather was at the intersection at 4:43 p.m. Tuesday when he received the report that a possible drunk driver was passing his location, deputies said.
Prather pulled behind the vehicle and observed the driver crossing the center line multiple times, deputies said. He attempted to stop the vehicle, but it continued southbound.
After a short pursuit, the driver traveled over stop sticks deployed by the Indiana State Police, and then stopped, deputies said.
Jason D. Taylor, 46, Brownsburg, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating a vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of .15 percent or more and resisting law enforcement in a vehicle, deputies said.
Taylor was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond, jail officials said.
