1:30 p.m. update: The two individuals who died in a double-fatal accident in Shelby County have been identified as Steven A. Conard, 58, of St. Paul, Indiana, the driver, and passenger Steven A. Conard Jr., 39, also of St. Paul. They were traveling in a 2007 Jeep.
The other vehicle was driven by Lance Davidson Jr., 26, of Shelbyville, who was injured. He was driving a 2003 Dodge truck.

SHELBY COUNTY — The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department is currently at the scene of a double-fatal accident on State Road 9.
The two-vehicle head-on crash involved a pickup truck and an SUV which occurred in the 4000 block of North State Road 9, deputies said. The two people who died were in the SUV, deputies said.
State Road 9 is closed at the crash location, deputies said.
