Indiana State Police and the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department are working an accident in the southbound lanes of I-65 near the 73 mile marker in which a semi has jack-knifed and blocked all lanes.
Deputies are diverting traffic off the interstate to U.S. 31 at the 76 mile marker near Taylorsville and preventing traffic from re-entering the interstate there, said Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers.
Myers said the area would be very congested for the next few hours and asked motorists to avoid the area if possible.
