Group hosts International Women’s Day fundraiser

Columbus Indiana Accueil is celebrating International Women’s Day with a  fundraising event March 8.

The free event kicks off with a fun walk at 11 a.m. on the Mill Race Park trail. Light snacks and beverages will be available in the Mill Race Center gathering room from noon to 2 p.m.

Grace Kestler, the community outreach coordinator for Advocates for Children, is one of two speakers for the event. Kestler is running for one of two at-large seats on the Columbus City Council.

Columbus Indiana Accueil is also selling purple bracelets to support Just Friends, a local adult day care, and Turning Point, a domestic violence prevention service. The bracelets are available for $5 at Just Friends and Turning Point and will be sold at the event. The event is free and open to the public.
