

COLUMBUS
Linda Kay White, 71 years of age, of Columbus, passed into the arms of Jesus on February 4, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born in Columbus on July 26,1947 to the late Lloyd and Pauline Hill. She married Larry A. White on October 9th, 1964. After Columbus High School, she later graduated from Huffer Beauty College as a Cosmetologist. Then later on, Linda worked for many years at The Fashion Shop.
Her work years were cut short by severe migraine headaches. During one of her migraines Jesus revealed to her He would heal her. Her steadfast faith in the healing power of Jesus Christ and unrelenting prayer by her and many others, He kept His promise to heal her.
Linda spent many years as a member of Garden City Church of Christ, serving faithfully in several different ministries there. She also was a member of The Crossing for several years, serving part of that time as an Elder.
Linda loved all her family very much. And, although she didn’t spend as much time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as she would have liked, she loved them all very much, and was always interested in them and their activities.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Larry; son Troy A White (Jodi) of Cicero, In; daughter Jennifer K (Doug) Deckard of Columbus; grand-daughters Jessica (Genna) Roush, Courtney (Caleb) Waggoner, Kacey (Justin) DeBord, and Grace White; grand-sons Conner (Krista) Marshall and Jadon White; step grand-daughters Bailey and Lauren Deckard; great grand-daughters Sihrena Waggoner and Emery Roush; great grand-sons Kenneth Waggoner, Grayson Roush, and Cooper DeBord; her brother Jeff Hill and daughter-in-law (Nita); and several cousins.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; Lloyd and Pauline Hill; her grand-parents and many aunts and uncles.
Arrangements were entrusted to Barkes, Weaver and Glick funeral home.
