Denver E. Huff, 87, of Bonesteel Drive, passed away at 1:35 p.m. February 10, 2019, at his home.

Denver was born November 7, 1931, in Burkesville, Kentucky, the son of George W. and Edna Hardy Huff. He married Lois Pearl Groce March 12, 1953, in Horse Cave, Kentucky. They were married 51 years and she preceded him in death December 23, 2004.

He was employed by Cosco before retiring November 24, 1993, after 41 years of service.

He served as a deacon at Lowell General Baptist Church and enjoyed reading his Bible, going to church, and spending time with his family, church family and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2019, at Lowell General Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Poynter and Ronnie Hampton officiating. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Survivors include his children, Pamela (Tony) Martin of Nineveh, Patty (Paul) Goodin, Wayne (Sandy) Huff, Curtis Huff, Jonathon Huff, Tammy Huff and Darrell (Sue) Huff, all of Columbus; grandchildren, Chris Richie, Amy (Aaron) French, Tony, Cody, Shania and Lacey Martin, Jonathon Huff, Ciara and Eric Huff, Justin and Jordan Huff, Hannah Huff, Olivia McQueery and Brooke and Kacey Huff; and seven great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois; father, George W. Huff and mother, Edna Huff Dove; and brothers, Prentis Huff and Chester and Balus Hardy and sisters, Betty Byrd, Glady Carroll, Etter Keys, Oval Guthrie and Mallie Skipworth.
