COLUMBUS
Herminia D. Perez, 87, of Columbus passed from this life on Sunday, February 10, 2019.
Born on April 26, 1931 in Goliad, Texas the daughter of Desiderio and Edubigan Perez Dias. On January 3, 1950 she married Favian Perez Sr.
She was a homemaker and member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. She loved taking care of her family, cooking, doing cross-stitch, her dog Chiquita, and watching wrestling.
Survivors include her children, Favian (Jeannie) Perez Jr of Mitchell, Johnny (Nancy) Perez of Columbus, Russell (Petra) Perez of Illinois, Vidal (Amy) Perez of Columbus, Tommy (Brenda) Perez of Columbus, Jessie (Sherry) Perez of Columbus, George (Ashley) Perez of Columbus, Freddie (Bonnie) Perez of Columbus, Rachel Gonzalez of Columbus, and Joann (Alejandro) Perez of Columbus; 36 Grandchildren; 76 Great Grandchildren; and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband, Favian Perez Sr on May 14, 2001; Daughters, Paulene Perez and Sophia Perez; son, Phillip Perez; a brother; a sister; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Jose Gonzalez Sr.
Family and friends may call from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. on Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike and also from 9:00a.m. to 9:30a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A rosary service will be conducted at 6:30p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00a.m. on Friday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father Clem Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.
