8:30 a.m. update: The semi accident has been cleared from the southbound lane of I-65 near the Jackson County line. Traffic speeds have returned to normal, according to the Indiana State Police.

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Indiana State Police have closed the right lane of southbound I-65 near the 56 mile marker at the Jackson/Bartholomew county line due to a semi accident.
Crews are attempting to remove the semi, but police are asking drivers to be careful in the area.
