Crusaders finish fourth
DAYTON, Tennessee — Columbus Christian finished fourth in the National Association of Christian Athletes Tournament after dropping a pair of games on Friday.
The Crusaders fell 92-72 in the semifinals to Family Christian Academy Christian from Orlando, Florida. C.J Reed scored 21 points, while Conner Emily added 21 and Josh Jones had 16.
Later in the afternoon, Columbus Christian (14-18) lost 57-42 in the third-place game to Evangel Christian from Alabaster, Alabama. Emily led the Crusaders with 13 points, and Reed added 11.
“The kids have been playing well,” Columbus Christian coach Kevin Roth said. “We only have two seniors, and it’s been good experience for some of our younger guys.”
Panthers oust Eagles
SPENCER — Brown County saw its season come to an end with a 46-34 loss to Owen Valley in the semifinals of the Class 3A Owen Valley Sectional.
The Patriots advance to face Edgewood in tonight’s title game. The Eagles finish the season 3-18.
