The American red Cross has a severe shortage of type O blood and is seeking type O donors, and eligible blood and platelet donors of all types.
Jennings County residents have an opportunity locally to donate. A blood drive is scheduled for 1 to 6 p.m. March 18 at First United Methodist Church, 240 Poplar St. North Vernon.
People can make an appointment to donate by calling 800-733-2767, going online at redcrossblood.org or donling the American Red Cross blood donor app.
