Columbus
It has come to my attention that Columbus proper has no restaurants that serve a homestyle meal anymore. Saddie’s has closed. Skooter’s is only open until 2 p.m. Shorty’s is now open on Thursday nights, which is great, but only one night a week. Kramer’s is not open in the evenings.
So where is a person to go when you want to have a home-cooked meal in Columbus. These fast food places occupy every nook and cranny here in town. And unless you want a speciality dinner like Italian, Mexican or Chinese you are out of luck!
I would love to be able to go here in town somewhere before it gets dark and get a nice meatloaf dinner, or a good friend chicken dinner. Yes, I am an older woman and I can’t drive after dark, but I really don’t think I’m the only one who misses having a good diner here in town without having to go all the way across town out to the interstate. I’m just saying it might be something someone might want to look into. That’s just this old lady’s opinion.
