Ansel Kinser, 94, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away at 9:28 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Ansel was born August 21, 1924, he is the son of Ora Jackson and Dorothy Turner Kinser. On October 8, 1961, Ansel married Waneta Mullis. She preceded him in death October 8, 2001.
Mr. Kinser retired from Cosco (Dorel) after 41 years of service.
Ansel enjoyed reading western books and watching western movies. He also got to enjoy spending time with his kids and grandkids and spending time with his companion, Martha and her family. They often took trips to Tennessee and he would always enjoy that time and would talk often about the trips.
He lived a good long life of 94 years.
Ansel is survived by his companion of 17 years, Martha Eads (Sis) of Heltonville; sons, Joe (Nettie) Kinser of Clay City, Steve Kinser of Columbus and Tim (Tracey) Kinser of Dugger; daughters, Debbie (Alan) Kinsey of Columbus and Eldena May of Bloomfield; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Kelley of Bloomfield; and a sister-in-law, Izola Kinser of Princeton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Waneta Kinser; son, George Walls; brothers, Bill Kinser and Delbert Kinser; sisters, Marie Lazzell, Catherine Patton and Viola Kinser; and a grandson, Larry Walls.
In keeping with Ansel’s wishes, cremation is planned.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Garland Brook Cemetery with the Reverend Jerry Ballard officiating.
Ansel will be laid to rest with his wife following the service.
