JENNINGS COUNTY — Contractors will resume work this week on a pavement improvement project on State Road 3 between Vernon and North Vernon.
Work to be completed includes removal and replacement of curb ramps at State Road 3 intersections with Jackson, Perry, Pike, Montgomery, Brown and Gaines streets. The contractor will also resurface State Road 3 from the State Road 7 intersection south of Vernon to just south of U.S. 50 at North Vernon.
Cost of the project is $787,000, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT).
Traffic restrictions will be minimal during the curb ramp removal. Flaggers will be used to direct traffic during paving, INDOT officials said.
