A month after International Brotherhood of Electrical Works Local 1424 voted to accept wage cuts and changes in benefits, Columbus Components Group notified employees and the city that it planned to lay off more than 100 workers and possibly close the plant.

1994

Hundreds of items from The Commons and The Commons Mall, including restaurant equipment, cabinets, electronics and furniture, were offered at a public auction.

1969

Several vehicles, two semis, two cars, a Jeep, a house trailer and a truck, piled up on the icy Driftwood River bridge on Interstate 65 north of State Road 46, backing up traffic more than a mile for an hour as workers cleared the wreckage.
