SCOTTSBURG — Emma Summers threw a five-hitter and struck out 15 with no walks Wednesday to lead Brown County to a season-opening 8-1 win at Scottsburg.
Adri Kritzer went 2 for 3 with two RBIs for the Eagles. Taylor Poling had two RBIs.

Warriors rally past Eagles
NASHVILLE — Brown County led 8-4 after five innings, but Scottsburg scored three in the sixth and four in the seventh to hand the Eagles an 11-8 loss to open the season.
Jake Riehl went 3 for 4 with a double, and John Wayne Ziegler went 3 for 5 with a double for Brown County. J.T. Parry went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, and Bryce Walker went 2 for 5 with two RBIs.
