North graduate to begin season in Rancho Cucamonga
Devin Mann will begin the baseball regular season with the Rancho Cucamonga (California) Quakes, the High-Class A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Mann, a 2015 Columbus North graduate, was drafted out of Louisville in the fifth round by the Dodgers in June. He spent most last season with the Class A Great Lakes Loons, batting .241 with two home runs and 30 RBIs in 63 games.
The Quakes open the season Thursday at Stockton (California).
Columbus Terrorz roller derby team to open season
The Columbus Terrorz roller derby team will open its season at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Skateland, 2660 N. Talley Rd. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $10 at the door or $8 in advance when purchased at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/producer/131494. Other home bouts will be May 18, June 29 and July 27.
