Beginning April 12, contractors will begin a project to extend the life of the I-65 bridges over the Big Blue River in Shelby County and over State Road 44 in Johnson County.
The Indiana Department of Transportation said work will be done on weekends, resulting in one lane of I-65 being closed in each direction at the bridges beginning at 8 p.m. on Fridays and reopening at 6 a.m. on Mondays.
All work on the bridge lanes should be completed by May 24.
