Local man jailed after warrant service at his home

A local man was arrested on a felony dealing methamphetamine charge after Columbus police served an arrest warrant at his home.

Officers located Kurt T. Lovins, 35, Columbus, at his home in the 2700 block of E. South St. at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

While searching Lovins, officers located about 27 grams of methamphetamine that Lovins concealed in the waistband of his pants, Harris said.

Lovins was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine and a Bartholomew County warrant, Harris said.
