Five local residents were arrested by officers from the Columbus Police Department’s Intelligence Led Policing Unit Thursday afternoon when they served a warrant at a local home.
Officers went to a home in the 1500 block of North Gladstone Avenue at 4 p.m. Thursday to serve a warrant.
While inside the residence, the officers located two wanted persons and observed what appeared to be narcotics and drug paraphernalia in the home, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
During a search of the residence, the officers located Lisa G. Bryant, 51, hiding inside a bedroom closet, Harris said. Officers confirmed a warrant for her arrest and she was taken into custody without incident.
Officers also arrested Scott W. Bryant, 52, who was inside the home, after confirming a warrant for his arrest, Harris said.
During a search of the residence, the officers located additional drug paraphernalia and narcotics including methamphetamine and made three more arrests.
The officers arrested:
- Lisa G. Bryant, 51, of Columbus on preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor visiting a common nuisance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and three Bartholomew County warrants
- Scott W. Bryant, 52, of Columbus, on preliminary charges of misdemeanor visiting a common nuisance and a Bartholomew County body attachment warrant
- Mary J. Strickland, 52, of Columbus, on preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, felony maintaining a common nuisance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
- Jessica N. Hynes, 33, of Columbus, on preliminary charges of misdemeanor visiting a common nuisance
- Joseph P. Wilder, 60, of Columbus, on preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of a Legend drug and felony maintaining a common nuisance.
