A local man was arrested after Columbus police received several reports of a suspicious person with a flashlight behind a Columbus home.
Officers were sent to the 1300 block of Lafayette Avenue at 9:20 p.m. Saturday where they found Timothy K. David, 47, of 3886 E. Carol Court, in the backyard of the home, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
David initially provided a false name to officers, who later confirmed his identity and also determined he had two active warrants for his arrest.
Officers also found marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia concealed in David’s clothing, Harris said.
David was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, false informing and the two warrants, Harris said.
David was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $71,500 bond, jail officials said.
