Louise Long

COLUMBUS

Louise Long, 84, of Columbus, passed from this life at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Columbus Transitional Care and Rehabilitation.

Louise was born February 17, 1935, in Grammar, Indiana, the daughter of Thomas G. and Dona E. White McClintic.

Mrs. Long was a homemaker and a member of St. Louis Crossing Independent Methodist Church.

She married Dale Long, December 27, 1953.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 66 years; daughters, Beverly (Russ) Brown, Anita Turner and Beth (Steve) Coffman all of Columbus; grandchildren, Brandon (Heather) Brown, Trent Brown, Alicia West, Jared Turner, Aaron (Sarah) Coffman and Laura (Dante) Burnett; great-grandchildren, Allison and Jackson Brown, Devin, Jaycen, Attalie and Nolan Turner, Clayton West, Ryder and Remington Coffman and Colt and Cade Burnett; brother, Donald McClintic of Columbus; sisters, Janice (Eugene) Griggs of Columbus and Barbara (Ron) Dycus of Florida; and a sister-in-law, Pat McClintic of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Noel and Charles McClintic; a sister, Jean Walker; sisters-in-law, Helen McClintic and Mae McClintic; and a brother-in-law, Marvin Walker.

The funeral will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Tim Dillingham officiating.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
