Curt Fields Jr.’s lifelong interest in the American Civil War and his admiration for Gen. Ulysses Grant has led to his portrayal of the famous officer to groups all over the United States and other parts of the world. He will speak in costume as Grant in the free presentation “General Grant: The Man Behind the Uniform” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Red Room of the Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St. in Columbus. Even if you’re not exactly skating through life, you can marvel at many who are doing so at the Lincoln Center Skate Club’s annual spring show “Kaleidoscope of Colors” at 7 p.m. April 26, 3 and 7 p.m. April 27 and 2 p.m. April 28 at the Hamilton Community Center and Ice Arena, 2501 Lincoln Park Drive in Columbus. Director Naomi Fleetwood-Pyle understands Southern-style comedy as well as anyone. And she is producer and director of the Actors Studio of Hope comedy “Farce of Nature” to be presented in a dinner theater format with a meal at 6 p.m. April 26 and 27 and the show at 7 p.m., and the meal at 1 p.m. April 28 with the play at 2 p.m. at Willow Leaves of Hope, 326 Jackson St. in Hope.
