I am writing on behalf of Josh Burnett, who is running for Columbus City Council.
My first experience of Josh was from his work on social media to celebrate our city and community. Josh is unique in his ability to unify people by focusing on positive characteristics, similarities and assets. This is a breath of fresh air in our society that is often negative, divisive and cynical.
Over the past several years, I have had the honor of getting to know Josh as a close friend. He is a man of outstanding character. His faith and family are his priorities. He has nurturing and stable relationships with his family and friends, which says a lot about a person. An organization that I volunteer for hired him to complete a large-scale project spanning many months. He has a strong work ethic, and he sees projects through until they are finished. Even after the project was completed, he has remained active as a volunteer.
He cares deeply about our community. Homegrown, Josh grew up in Columbus, and his family has been active in our community for generations. He has deep roots that connect him with many people. Josh’s communication skills are exemplary. Core values of transparency and honesty foster trust and collaboration. His ability to educate and involve the public is second to none. These characteristics make Josh a natural fit for public service.
I am confidently voting for Josh Burnett for Columbus City Council, and I look for forward to him serving our community as we build on our strengths and tackle ongoing challenges.
