NORTH VERNON — Jennings County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an early morning vehicle fire that occurred Friday in Country Squire Lakes near the boat docks.
One male victim, who is not being identified until family members are notified, was injured and transferred to an Indianapolis hospital where he is currently receiving treatment, said Chief Deputy David Turner.
Investigators do suspect foul play in the incident, Turner said.
The sheriff’s department has determined the car fire was an isolated incident and the public was not in danger, Turner said.
An investigation is continuing.
