Greenwood man arrested after traffic stop

A Greenwood man was arrested on several charges after a traffic stop by Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Jason Williams stopped a vehicle at 1:49 a.m. Friday driven by Dakota L. Ebright, 28, Greenwood, deputies said. Ebright was found to have a suspended driver’s license and was driving a 2001 GMC Sonoma that had been reported stolen to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, deputies said.

A syringe was located under the driver’s seat, deputies said.

Ebright was arrested on preliminary charges of theft, possession of a legend drug injection device and driving while suspended with a prior conviction, deputies said.

Ebright was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $70,000 bond, jail officials said.
