Nodjya Cook of Columbus carded a 12-over-par 83 in Thursday’s opening round of the U.S. Senior Women’s Open and is tied for 88th place.
Cook, a teaching pro at Harrison Lake Country Club, shot 40 on the front nine and 43 on the back at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
Danielle Ammaccapane leads the tournament at 1-over 72. Nanci Bowen, Liselotte Neumann and Barbara Moxness are one shot back at 2-over 73.
