Local golfers compete in Indiana Women’s Open

WEST LAFAYETTE — Three former and one current Columbus North golfer finished play Thursday in the Indiana PGA Women’s Open Championship at Purdue’s Ackerman-Allen Course.

Danbi Kim, who will be a sophomore at Findlay (Ohio), carded a final-round 6-over 78 and tied for 15th with a total of 11-over 155. Sydney Anderson, a recent Evansville graduate, shot 78 Thursday and tied for 27th at 159.

Annie Anderson, who will be a senior at North, had a final-round 78 and tied for 38th at 161. Nodjya Cook, an assistant pro at Harrison Lake Country Club, shot 89 Thursday and tied for 65th with a 168.

Holly Anderson, a North grad who will be a junior at Purdue Fort Wayne, withdrew from the tournament after a 77 on Tuesday.

Brittany Kelly of Fishers won the tournament with a 10-under 134, 10 shots better than runners-up Alexis Miestkowski of Crown Point and Julia Potter-Bobb of Indianapolis.
