COLUMBUS
Beverly A. Sorenson, 77, of Columbus, passed from this life at 10:46 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2019 at her home.
Beverly was born January 24, 1942, in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of Chester M. and Iris T. Piercefield Britton.
Mrs. Sorenson was a homemaker, she enjoyed playing cards, computer games and spending time with her grandchildren.
She married John P. Sorenson, September 11, 1976.
Survivors include her husband; children, Jeff Gibson of Nashville, Tennessee, Jackie (Tim Jordan) Ayers of Columbus, Candice Sorenson of Columbus and Christa Sorenson of Columbus; grandchildren, Christopher Ayers, Daniel Ayers, Greg Gibson and Kenzie Gibson; sisters, Shirley (Ron) Sears and Wanda Pickett both of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son Gregory Gibson.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to time of service Monday at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place following the service, private inurnment will be at a later date at Garland Brook Cemetery.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
